1914 - 2008
Robert Priddy, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008 in the Linwood Village Nursing Home at the age of 94 years.The son of the late Harry Priddy and Inez Gutridge Priddy, Robert was born on January 22, 1914 in Cullison, Kansas.He was united in marriage to Almeda Rogers in 1935 and to this union two children, Donald Dean and Winnie were born.Robert had farmed most of his life and he enjoyed playing dominoes and cards.Survivors include one son Donald Dean Priddy of Houston; one daughter Winnie Apple and her husband Glenn of Sevierville, Tennessee; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters and other relatives and friends.In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Flynn Cemetery with Dr. Larry Haney, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating.The family will greet friends on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home.
