Elijah David Podschun, of Cushing, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home, with his family by his side.Eli as the family would call him was born in Olathe, Colorado to Danny and Tammy Podschun on May 10, 2009.They moved to Cushing, Oklahoma in 2010 where they made their home.Eli was in the Pre-K program in the Wilson school system where he had many friends.He loved spending time with his brothers and sisters, his big sister Mandy was like a second mom to him...he loved playing with her.Eli like most little boys loved to play with his toy cars and play video games; his favorite movie to watch was Despicable Me. He enjoyed playing outside and pretending that he was his favorite super hero, BATMAN. Eli was a joy to be around and to watch, he was like most little boys always into something, but if you know Eli at all you couldn’t help but love him.He is survived by his parents Danny and Tammy Podschun of Cushing; two brothers, Cody Podschun of Delta, Colorado; and Douglas Podschun of Cushing; two sisters, Abigail Podschun of Delta, Colorado; and Mandy Podschun of Cushing; two grandmothers, Susie Podschun of Grand Junction, Colorado; Neoma Combs of Cushing; five uncles, Jimmy, Davy Podschun, and Greg Podschun and wife Sara; Delvin and wife Heather Combs of Drumright; Robert and Beth Combs of Cushing; and a host of other relatives, family and friends.Eli was preceded in death by his two grandpa’s, David Podschun and Derrill Combs.Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2013 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Cushing, Oklahoma.Brother Allen Rossiter and Brother Robert Combs will officiate.Interment will follow at the Flynn Cemetery.Condolences and an online guestbook are available at www.palmermarlerfh.com.
