Donald Frederick Pieper, age 79 of Agra/Cushing area passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Stillwater Medical Center, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Don was born on May 22, 1932 in Cameron, Wisconsin to the late William and Eda Mattil Pieper.

He grew up and graduated from Cameron High School in 1950. Don later attended El Reno Jr. College and received his Associate Degree.

He served in the U. S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He then served in the U. S. Air National Guard and Reserves, retiring in 1979.

Don married Berniece Clausen on February 20, 1955 in Iowa, to this union two sons were born Bruce and Douglas. He later married Adeline Ewen on July 12, 1984 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cushing, through that marriage Don enjoyed an extended family of Adeline's two daughters and son, Jeannette, Leannette and Delbert.

He was a dairy farmer after his military service. He had a true love for farm work and the country life.

Don was a prime contributor in the development of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Yukon, Oklahoma. God gave Don direction, vision and leadership gifts from whom many benefitted.

He was on the volunteer Rural Water Board in Agra for 30 years, most of the time serving as chairman.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council, Thrivent and president of Immanuel Lutheran Brotherhood.

He served on the Habitat for Humanities Board, Agra Sr. Citizens Board, American Farmers and Ranchers Board- Lincoln County Vice-President. He was a member of the Lincoln County Control Burn and on other various Dairy boards.

Don loved to fish, especially ice fishing in Wisconsin.

He enjoyed playing cards and organized a pitch card club with his friends.

Don liked to travel to Branson and watch the shows and loved to listen to the "Gospel for A Purpose" quartet in Stillwater.

Donald is survived by his wife, Adeline of the home; sons, Bruce Pieper and wife, Marti of Houston, Texas; and Douglas Pieper and wife, Colleen of Agra; step-son Delbert Taylor and wife, Madeline of Norman; step-daughters Jeannette Pierce and husband, Gary of Cushing; Leannette Raffety and husband, Mike of Stroud; brother, Jack Pieper of Sauk Centre, Minnesota; grandchildren McKenzie Pieper, Donald Bilby, Katina Smith and Jerod, Jason Pierce and Kym, Tyler Pierce and friend Rebecca Weaver, Michelle Willhelm and Jim, Tami Jackson and Brad, Eliza Robertson and John Robertson, great grandchildren Kelsey Bilby, Brice Smith, Abby and Alyssa Bilby, Cierra, Jaelynn and Shontana Willhelm, Tommy Jackson, Hayden Cochran, Brennon and Brooklyn Pierce, and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mike Pieper; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Bill Johnson; and sister-in-law, Vonnee Pieper.

One of the highlights of Don's year was the Christmas Open House. He thought the more that came the merrier the time!
