Funeral services for Jimmie Payne of Wellston were held Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Wellston Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Osborne officiating.Burial followed at Wellston Cemetery under the direction of Brown's Funeral Parlor, Wellston.Jimmie was born March 23, 1925, in Fallis, Oklahoma, and died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, in Chandler at the age of 85 years.The son of Jones Walter and Josie Fields Payne, he married Florence Harney on March 17, 1951 in Mena, Arkansas.He was a member of Wellston Missionary Baptist Church.Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.Survivors include his wife, Florence, of the home; his children, Connie Jo McLain of Arkansas; Camelia Ann Sharp of Wellston; Jimmie Walter Payne of Chandler; Jon Ray Payne of Wellston; and Molly Jo O'Faye Young of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and other family and friends.Published in the Lincoln County News, February 10, 2011, page 4.
