RICHARD WAYNE PATTERSON
1957 - 2012


Richard Wayne Patterson was born June 19, 1957 and passed away May 3, 2012 at the age of 54 at his home in Wellston in his wife's arms.
Richard owned and operated Patterson Erection & Repair, building steel buildings.
He loved NASCAR and building cars. His most recent project was a 1954 Chevy truck for his grandson Clayton.
He loved his family and it was very important to Richard that he made opportunities available to his family and extended family helping them become successful in life.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Vera; sister, Bonnie Samples; mother-in-law, Gale Gessner; and hero, Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly, of the home; daughter, Alisa DeBrouse and husband Daniel of Meeker; grandchildren, Jessie Guigar, Clayton Lindsay, Filicity DeBrouse; step-sons, Waylan, Willy and Travis all of Portland, Oregon; and father-in-law, Ray Gessner of Davenport.
A memorial celebration will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 in his Wellston home.
