1945 - 2000
Clarence DeWayne Parrett died Thursday in Shawnee after a lengthy illness. He was 54.He was born October 11, 1945, in Missouri. He was the son of Elbert and Myrna Petty Parrett.Parrett, a welder, was a resident of Earlsboro.He married Lillian Schexenider Parrett on December 30, 1982, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.Survivors include his wife, Lillian Parrett of the home; one son, Dewayne; one daughter, Sherry; seven stepchildren, Gail, Nancy, Steven, Patricia and Elizabeth; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Clinton Hewkins, Salem, Missouri; Norma and Jim Smith, Salem, Missouri; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffery Glen and Florence Parett, Salem, Missouri; Carl and Kathryn Parrett, Salem, Missouri; Lonnie and Cheryl Parrett, St. Louis, Missouri; and Paul and Freida Parrett, Antioch, Tennessee.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Prague Cemetery with Bro. Frank Coye officiating.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.Published May 13, 2000.
