DAVID WAYNE PANEK
1959 - 2016
David “Skeet” Wayne Panek passed away at the age of 56, on January 21, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa with his family by his side.
David was born on March 30, 1959 to the Charles and Loma Wolfe Panek in Pasco, Washington.
He grew up in Silo, Oklahoma and graduated from Silo High School in 1977.
David attended the Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Durant, Oklahoma. He moved to Stillwater with his parents and worked as a laborer with his dad who was a Stone Mason.
He married the love of his life, Martha Lucille Slaven on November 8, 1980 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater.
David worked for National Standard and later with Erwin Custom Signs.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, and baking goodies for grandchildren. He never met a stranger he was a good Christian man who loved everyone.
David is survived by his wife Martha of the home, one son: David Nathaniel Panek of Tryon Oklahoma; two daughters, Denessa Workman and husband, Derek of Tryon, Oklahoma; Laticia Panek-Bowman of Tryon, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles “Bud” Panek and wife, Sherryl of Seaside, California; one sister, Jackie Shamsollahi of Durant, Oklahoma and three grandchildren, Alexis and Hunter Panek-Bowman and Shamali Workman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and one sister, Violet Ice.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel Cushing, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at the Tryon Cemetery in Tryon, Oklahoma.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Family will greet friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
