STEVEN EDWARD NEWCITY
1960 - 2007


Steven Edward Newcity, age 47 of Agra, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2007 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Steven was born on October 10, 1960 in Tampa, Florida to Edward and Marietta Camren Newcity.
He grew up in Agra and attended Agra schools.
Steven was a roughneck for Cactus Drilling.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Agra.
Steven loved fishing and collecting flashlights.
He was a wonderful friend to many, and was very close to his crew mates.
Steven loved taking care of his son which was two years old.
He is survived by his son Hayden Lee Newcity Stiles of Cushing; mother and step-father: Marietta and Don Watkins of Agra; father and step-mother Edward and Nancy Newcity of Hartselle, Alabama; brothers Chris Newcity and wife Mandy of Oklahoma City; David Michael Newcity of Sullivan, Missouri; step brothers Randy Watkins and Jerry Watkins, both of Cushing; step sisters Sherri Wright of Chandler; Kellie Day of Hartselle, Alabama; Tammy Wright of Drumright; nephew Jeremy Newcity of Oilton; niece Morgan Newcity of Oklahoma City; six uncles and five aunts; ten step nieces and nephews; as well as numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his nephew, Justin Newcity.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, Agra. Rev. Roger Shaw will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Osage Cemetery, Agra, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
