1930 - 2015
Jack Arnold Neill, longtime Cushing resident, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at his residence at the age of 84 years.The son of the late Roy William Neill and Vera Grace Carnahan Neill, Jack was born on November 29, 1930 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in the Carney, Oklahoma area, graduating from Carney High School.He was united in marriage to Pat Wade on April 25, 1953 in Cushing. In their nearly 62 years of marriage they were blessed with one daughter, Janis Sue.Jack had worked for Bonray Drilling of Oklahoma City for over 40 years prior to his retirement in 1996.He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.Jack was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; was an avid sports fan, watching various televisions at the same time.He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Surviving include his wife, Pat, of the home; one daughter Janis Sue Cheney and her husband Kerrie of Salmon, Idaho; one sister Peggy Nickelson of Waynoka, Oklahoma; one brother Donal Neill and his wife Lillie of Woodward, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, D’Lynn Hill and her husband Corey of Wellsville, Utah; D’Neill Hobbs and her husband Jeremy of Kuna, Idaho; and Nichole Cockrell and her husband Charlie of Salmon, Idaho; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Roy William Neill, Jr., and one great-granddaughter.Graveside services will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
