Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Morgan was born on July 11, 1962, in Prague, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 54.
Kenny, the son of Charlie O. Morgan and Mattie Morgan-Sauter, was a resident of Oklahoma City. He was a 1980 graduate of Prague High School. Kenny attended OU and, in 1985, graduated with a Bachelors degree in Petroleum and Land Management. Kenny married Sheila Navrath on January 29, 1982, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He enjoyed being a pilot, watching OU football, spending time with his grandchildren, Hooters hot wings, golf, technology and music. Kenny spent many years working in the oilfield, including the family business, Morgan Well Service.
Kenny’s brother, Charlie “Digger” Morgan, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons Robert C. Morgan and wife, Melissa, of Midland, TX, and Dylan W. Morgan of Oklahoma City; father, Charlie O. Morgan and wife, Beverly, of Oklahoma City; mother, Mattie Morgan Sauter and husband, Frank, of Shawnee; brother, Danny Morgan and wife, Treasure, of Prague; sister, Dottie Morgan Watson and husband, David, of Prague; grandchildren, Ethan and Layla Morgan of Midland, TX; nephew and nieces and many other family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with Father Long Phan officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation at 636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3A, Short Hills, NJ 07078. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
