1929 - 2016
Wanda Lee Eversole Daves Moore was born on April 16, 1929 to Joseph C. and Martha Thomas Eversole in Davenport, Oklahoma.She attended Baxter 68 Grade School and Davenport High School.After high school Wanda married Charles “Chuck” Daves and they adopted a pretty little girl named, Pamela.On June 25, 1957, Wanda was critically injured in a car accident in Chandler. She was rushed to St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she remained in a coma for six months. Life changed for Wanda but she made the most of it.Later in life Wanda married Eddie Moore and they enjoyed traveling together. While in Texas they adopted a baby boy named Dwayne and continued to travel for many years. After Eddie’s death, Wanda battled personal illnesses and was admitted into the Chandler Nursing Center. She remained at the nursing home for several years until she was admitted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where she passed away on August 7, 2016.Wanda’s life was centered around her family. She never knew a stranger, and had a thirst for life.Wanda spent her last year’s scheming new ways to escape the nursing home where she lived for 12 years.Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ray, John and Jim Eversole and sisters, Agnes Rowland, Dorothy Shields and Ruby McCullough; survivors include son, Dwayne Moore; three sisters, Betty Knight of Norman, Jesse Burger of Bridge Creek and Martha Jo Burris of Gastonia, North Carolina along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends who will miss her very much.The family would like to thank Wanda’s niece, Marla for staying with her until she made her final journey.A memorial service is pending at this time.Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
