JAMES EDWARD MOLLOY
1950 - 2011


James Edward Molloy, a longtime Agra resident, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Oklahoma City at the age of 60.
James was born on March 20, 1950 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Alvin and Minnie Porter Molloy. He grew up in the Agra/Parkland area.
He attended school in Parkland and married the love of his life, Brenda Spurgeon on June 17, 1972 in Agra, Oklahoma.
They enjoyed riding motorcycles and were members of the Golden Wing Road Riders Association for a number of years.
James enjoyed taking care of his goats. He worked for O.S.U. Veterinarian Medicine as a ranch foreman for 18 years, retiring in 2002. He liked to spend time remodeling his 1955 Chevy.
He was a volunteer Firefighter for the Agra Fire Department for a number of years.
James was a member of the Church of the Firstborn in Parkland, being baptized on August 28, 1982.
He had numerous hobbies. His nieces called him Uncle Teddy Bear.
James was a beloved Papa.
James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda of the home; sons Bobby Molloy and wife Meredith of Tulsa; Jarrod Molloy and wife Brittanie of Agra; mother Minnie Molloy of Cushing; granddaughter Lillian June Molloy; brothers Calvin Molloy and wife Beth of Agra; Donnie Molloy and wife Susan of Agra; Dale Molloy of Agra; Glenn Molloy and wife Lori of Cushing; Dwayne Molloy and wife Cindy of Cushing; sisters Joyce Parlier of Cushing and Janice Rodgers of Cushing; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Molloy, sister-in-law, Donna Molloy and brother-in-law, Ronnie Rodgers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 7, 2011 at Parkland Church of the Firstborn, Parkland, Oklahoma. Brother Fred Britton and Brother Randall Wright will officiate.
Interment will follow at Osage Cemetery, Agra.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Molloy, Michael Callanan, Eric Rodgers, Chase Molloy, Adam Parlier and Colton Molloy.
Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers Calvin, Donnie, Dale, Glenn and Dwayne Molloy.
Services are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
