Long time Prague resident, Paul Glenn Mendenhall, was born on October 15, 1982, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, April 28, 2014, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 31.Paul, the son of Sherman Glenn "Shorty" and Sandra Sue "Sandy" Carver Mendenhall, was a resident of Sparks, Oklahoma.He was a graduate of Prague High School with the class of 2001.Paul loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, cooking on the grill and the smoker to name just a few. Spending time with friends and, most importantly, his son, Conner, were special to Paul.His father, maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother preceded him in death.Survivors include his wife of 5 years, Shawna Cain Mendenhall; mother, Sandy Mendenhall of Prague; son, Connor Glenn Mendenhall of the home; step-daughters, Micah Lamunyon of Hutchinson, Kansas and Treva Bryant of Prague; sister, Lisa Harris of Prague; grandfather, Paul Mendenhall of Porum; grandmother, Bonnie Raines of Prague; aunts and uncles, Ray and Mary Carver of Prague, Dean and Jean Raines of Prague, Dannie and Regina Mendenhall of Lawton and Marsha and Robbie Robertson of Porum; nephews, Zackary Harris of Prague and Justin Harris of Prague; other relatives and many friends.The Mendenhall family will receive family and friends on Thursday, May 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud with Rev. Mike Haines officiating.Interment will follow at Kellerby Cemetery.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
