JOHN LEE McQUERRY
1923 - 2010
John Lee McQuerry of Bethany, Oklahoma, was born December 12, 1923, in Palisade, Colorado and died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at the age of 86 years.
The son of Joseph and Pearl Burns McQuerry, he married Betty Jean Wardrip on November 6, 1943, in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
McQuerry served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for Mid America Farm Lines.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; four children and their spouses, John and Judy McQuerry of Freemont, California; Larry and Mary Ann McQuerry of Oklahoma City; LaDona Deffner and Bruce Yarbor of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Michael and Laura McQuerry of Bethany, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Parkland Cemetery with Pastor Russell Herndon officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Brown's Funeral Parlor of Wellston.
