MARCLYN JOYCE McGINNIS
1935 - 2015


Marclyn Joyce Andrew McGinnis was born on January 22, 1935, in Prague, and departed this life on Sunday, November 8, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.
Marclyn, the daughter of Jim and Ella Pliva Andrew, was a resident of Prague.
She graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1953 and married John Robert McGinnis on February 7, 1958 in Prague.
Marclyn's parents; husband; brother, James Andrew; sister, Norma Bland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claud and Beulah McGinnis; brothers-in-law, Buck McGinnis, Sam McGinnis, Dick McGinnis, Pat McGinnis and Joe Jones; sisters-in-law, Kathy McGinnis, Mary McGinnis and Willa Lou Jones; and one great grandson, Landon Morris, preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra and Bennie Morris of Owasso and Joyce and Joe Guhl of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Brett Morris and Molly Morris; sisters-in-law, Frances Andrew, Betty McGinnis, Imogene McGinnis and Nancy Traywick; brother-in-law, Bobby Bland and a host of other relatives and friends.
Marclyn also thought of her care-givers as family.
A special thanks to Baptist Village of Oklahoma City for their tender loving care and Autumn Bridge Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
The McGinnis family will receive friends on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
