CLARENCE C. McFARLIN
1938 - 2007


Clarence C. McFarlin, age 68, longtime Agra resident passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2007 in Agra.
He was born on November 5, 1938 in Parkland, Oklahoma to Arthur Monroe and Nellie Ruth Burger McFarlin.
He grew up in the Tryon/Agra area. Clarence graduated from Agra High School in 1958; he enjoyed playing basketball in school.
He served his country in the U. S. Army.
Clarence married Annie Ashby on June 10, 1960; she preceded him in death in 1975. He later married Barbara Miller on February 7, 1978; she preceded him in death in 2003.
He worked for Kerr McGee Refinery and Hudson Refinery for a number of years. He later went to work for Lincoln County, District 1 as a road grader operator. He also worked at other various jobs throughout his life.
Clarence was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Osage being baptized in 1959 in Parkland, Oklahoma by Brother Louis Wright.
He enjoyed farming, hauling hay and riding his 4-wheeler.
Clarence is survived by his son, Cecil McFarlin and wife Misty of Cushing; daughters Mariesa Greenfield of Tryon; Janet Potter and husband Danny of Tryon; Wilma Porter and husband Terry of DeWitt, Arkansas; brothers Arthur McFarlin and wife Marilyn of Stillwater; Lee Ray McFarlin of Cleveland; Loyal “Bud” McFarlin and wife Lois of Tryon; sisters Nina Rodgers and husband Harold of Cushing; Sarah Carmichael of Cushing; Mary Rains and husband Leo of Ripley; Ollie Quinn of Oregon; Faye Pruitt of Cushing; grandchildren Wesley, Mandy and Jacob McFarlin, Lisa and Anna Blackbourn, Thomas and Ryan Greenfield, Danny Jr., Darrell and Dillon Potter, Andrew, Annie, Rachel, Matthew, Leah, Aaron and James Porter; and girlfriend JoAnna Cramer of Stillwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives Annie McFarlin and Barbara McFarlin; brothers Henry McFarlin and James McFarlin; and sisters Thelma Wittman and Ervie Murch.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn at Parkland, Oklahoma. Brother Jerry Wittman and Brother Richard Wright will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.
Serving as casketbearers are Scott Wittman, Brian Brickey, Jesse Wright, Derek Wittman, Dennis Wright and Alvie Wright. Honorary casketbearers are Loyd Wright, Shane Wittman and Glover Hayes, Sr.
Arrangements are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
