Betty Lou Paris McDaniel, 87, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on January 4, 2012.She was born in Depew, Oklahoma on February 1, 1924 to Julian and Ruth Paris.Betty's childhood was spent in and around Wellston, Oklahoma with many fond memories of life on her grandparents' farm at Brown's Lake.Betty's greatest joy was spending time with her family and enjoyed sewing, needle work, bird watching, games and traveling with her husband.She is survived by her husband, Fred McDaniel; two daughters, Mala Clay and husband Jack; and Diane Gibson and husband Gary; two sons, David McDaniel and wife Diane; Mark McDaniel and wife Gay; eleven grandchildren, Becky Henderson and husband John; Beth Hendricks and husband Maj. Nathan; Britt Clay and wife Lauren; Brooke Clay, Bryce Clay, Dillon McDaniel, Dana McDaniel, Kassie McDaniel, Megan McDaniel, Courtney Gibson and Meredith Gibson; four great grandchildren, Brianna Hendricks, Nate Hendricks, Kinley Hendricks, James Hendricks and one on the way; two sisters, Ella Lusero, Jeanne Yates and husband David; and a host of nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.She is preceded in death by one granddaughter Carrie McDaniel and her parents Julian and Ruth Paris.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S. Penn. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Wellston Cemetery, Wellston, Oklahoma.Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, Oklahoma.The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Manor Care Nursing Home and especially to her faithful nurse Sharon.
