Lucille Margaret Tennet McConnel, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Hamilton Health Care Hospital, Hamilton Texas.She was born on June 29, 1921 in Nowata, Oklahoma to the late Warren and Effie Tennent.She grew up and attended school in Nowata, graduating from Nowata High School.Lucille married LeRoy McConnel on August 2, 1936 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.She lived in the Tulsa area her whole life until she moved to Hico, Texas in 1999 to be closer to her family.Lucille was active in the First Baptist Church in Hico.She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts.Lucille is survived by her son Donald Webb and wife Judy of Tiffin, Iowa; one daughter Delores Chancellor and husband Don of Hico, Texas; one sister Doris Hallett of Vinita, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband LeRoy McConnel on April 18, 2009 after 73 years of marriage.Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday October 13, 2014 at the Pavilion at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.Services are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
