AMON OTIS McCLEARY
1901 - 1973


Services for Amon Otis McCleary, 71, of Sparks, will be at 2:00 p.m. today in the Sparks Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Carr officiating.
Mr. McCleary died Wednesday, May 9 in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born July 25, 1901 in Sycamore, Missouri.
He was married to Mary Alma Ashlock in 1943 at Chandler. She died October 27, 1959.
He was then married to Rosa Burger on November 18, 1961, in Laredo, Mexico.
He had lived here since 1907, moving to Kansas before returning from Toronto, Kansas in 1959.
Mr. McCleary was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosa McCleary of the home; one son, Robert McCleary of Toronto, Kansas; four daughters, Iona Lee McCleary, Brenda Kay McCleary, both of the home; Leona Rose Murphy of Cloudcroft, New Mexico; Mary Collene Groves, of Eureka, Kansas; two sisters, Kathryn Graham of Sparks; Sara Graham of Waynesville, Missouri; four nieces, including Mrs. Walter Levisay; two nephews, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Curry Funeral Home, Chandler, is in charge of arrangements.
