Nelda Loafman Mays was born on April 3, 1926, in Centerview,a community south of Prague, Oklahoma. She died Friday, April 8, 2011, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years.Nelda was the daughter of Thomas Jasper and Cora Etna Morton Loafman.She married Granville Mays on May 28, 1971 in Prague.Nelda was a graduate of Prague High School and taught business at Centerview High School. She also worked for Hinson Insurance Agency and Prague National Bank. She was assistant director at the Oklahoma Baptist University Center in Shawnee and was site manager for the Prague Senior Citizens Nutrition Center.She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague.Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, three brothers and five sisters.Survivors include her sister-in-law, Jackie Loafman of Livingston, Texas and other family and friends.Funeral services were held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Glen Loafman officiating.Burial followed at Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.© Lincoln County News, page 4.
