BETTY J. MASON
1928 - 2013


Betty J. Stanley Mason, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in her residence at the age of 85 years.
The daughter of the late Joseph H. Stanley and Eliza Carey, Betty was born on January 30, 1928 in Dearing, Kansas.
Betty was united in marriage to David A. Mason on July 3, 1999 in Cushing.
Betty enjoyed crocheting baby quilts, making afghan blankets and bedspreads and painting art work but most of all she enjoyed being a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, David Mason of the home; seven children, Diana Mullen, Flora Wikel, Gladys Baker, Nelda Mayes, Everett Wayne Herring, Leslie Herring and Edward Lowell Herring; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Everett Herring; one daughter, Gertie Leverich; one sister, Flora Toles; two brothers, Raymond Stanley and Wayne Carey Stanley.
The family will greet friends on Friday evening, May 10, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church with Reverend Larry Huff, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Parkland Cemetery.
