Ruth I. Allen Martin was born on December 23, 1924 in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 78.Ruth was the daughter of Fred and Rosa Holder Allen.She was a resident of Prague most of her life, was a real estate broker for 30 years, and a member of the Deer Creek Baptist Church.Ruth married August Frederick Martin on July 10, 1942, in Watonga Oklahoma.Her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister, and one grandson, William Kyle Martin, preceded Ruth in death.Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Jane Martin of Prague, Oklahoma; and Terry and Rita Martin of Prague, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Rowena Allen of Joplin, Missouri; and Isaac and Cheryl Allen of Tehachapi, California; one sister and brother-in-law, Violet and L.Y. Tiberghien of Tehachapi, California; three grandchildren, Jason and Stephania Martin of Pembroke, New Hampshire; Jennifer Martin of Prague, Oklahoma; and Julie Martin of Prague, Oklahoma; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Conner Martin of Pembroke, New Hampshire.Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2003, at the Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mark Sims officiating.Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
