1953 - 2008
Luther Frank Martin was born on February 6, 1953, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, October 11, 2008, in Gaffney, South Carolina, at the age of 55.Frank, the son of Mitchell and Beulah Burgan Martin, was a resident of Prague.He loved his large family, hunting, fishing and telling big stories. Frank loved helping people and was always there when needed. He was the hardest working man anyone could ever be, whether it was wiring something or cooking for a huge crowd. He loved his girls, Liz and Chell and had mastered the art of spoiling his grandsons, Bryce and T. J.Frank touched every person's life and heart in a special way. He will be greatly missed.His father preceded him in death.Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Liz Martin and Tommy McGinnis of Prague; Michelle Martin and Shawn Jack of Jacktown; mother, Beulah Martin of Prague; grandchildren, Bryce Brown, T. J. McGinnis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Becky Martin of Prague; Bobby and Regina Martin of Prague; Robert and Ronda Martin of Paden; David and Joy Martin of Prague; Tony and Melissa Martin of Prague; sisters and brothers-in-law, Laverne and Joe Podest of Prague; Linda Arthur of Prague; Irlene Reynolds of Prague; Doris and Gary Cordell of Prague; and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Trace Hawke and Rev. Brett Allen officiating.Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma.
