NOEL MARSH
1916 - 2001
Longtime Prague area resident Noel Marsh died Saturday at Prague Municipal Hospital. He was 85.Marsh was born March 1, 1916 near Prague to James William and Josephine Van Smith Marsh.He had lived all his life in the Prague area, where he was a farmer, rancher and member of the First Baptist Church.He married Ednamae Thompson September 4, 1938, in the Pleasant Home area.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.Survivors include his wife, Ednamae Marsh, Prague; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Ruby Marsh, Prague; two daughters and son-in-law, Judith Cowden, Ada; Cindy and Mike Irwin, Prague; a brother, Woodrow Marsh, Hennessey; two sisters, Sylvia Swinford, Prague; Hope Emerson, Brookings, Oregon; ten grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Prague, with Tim Emmons officiating.Burial will follow in the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund, Route 3, Box 243, Prague, Oklahoma 74864.
