BILLIE CARALEE MAGGARD
1930 - 2014


Billie Caralee Gregory Maggard was born on October 4, 1930, in Hulbert, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at her home in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 83.
Caralee, the daughter of Thomas Edgar and Ethel "Rella Mae" Harper Gregory, was a resident of Prague.
She married Lewis Earl Maggard on December 10, 1947, in Chandler. They were married for 29 years until his death in 1977.
She worked at the Clothes Closet and Emily's Gift World, but most people will remember her at Kahanek's Grocery. Caralee was an excellent cook, gardener, and seamstress. She took great pride in making her granddaughters' Kolache outfits. She loved animals and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her parents, three brothers, one sister and grandson, Kelly Gene Maggard, preceded Caralee in death.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Marva Maggard of Edmond and Rick and Sharon Maggard of Prague; grandchildren, April and Mike Albright of Greensboro, North Carolina and Michelle and Jeaux Smith of Edmond, great grandchildren, Brooks, Marleigh and Jackson, brother and sister-in-law, Don and Patsy Gregory of Prague, brother-in-law, Bob Ford of Prague, sisters-in-law, Helen Gregory of Prague, Linda Gregory of Prague and Delores Ramsey of Oklahoma City, many other family and friends.
The Maggard family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Susan Payne officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
