FREDERICK JAMES LEE
1931 - 2010
Frederick James Lee was born on July 1, 1931, in Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.
Frederick, the son of Thomas and Lena Engel Lee, was a life-long Meeker resident.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Frederick married Ethel B. Pruitt on August 17, 1960, in Chandler, Oklahoma.
He worked at Tinker Air Force Base in security and then as a machinist.
He was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Meeker, Oklahoma and the Knight’s of Columbus.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
Survivors include, wife, Ethel of the home, one son and daughter-in-law; John and Roberta King of Meeker, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Dennis Kinzell of Hazen, North Dakota; two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Richard and Wanda Lee of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Forrest and Julie Lee of Meeker, Oklahoma; one sister, Dorothy O’Brien of Sparks, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and many friends.
Prayer Vigil was held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Meeker, Oklahoma.
Funeral Mass was held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010, at St. Michaels’s Catholic Church in Meeker, Oklahoma.
Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma.
Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
