INEZ MOZELLE LAMKIN
1918 - 2013
Inez Mozelle Helsel Lamkin passed away July 26, 2013 in Chandler, Oklahoma at the Chandler Nursing Facility, Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 95.She was the 6th child born to William Richard Helsel and Josie Ann Naron-Helsel in Byers, Kansas.Inez grew up mostly in Kansas. She graduated from Haskins Elementary School in Pratt, Kansas in 1933.Inez and Harry Odell Lampkin were married on September 5, 1936. Harry preceded Inez in death in 1981. To that union was born a son, Robert Duane in 1937 and two daughters; Shirley Nadine in 1944 and Harriett Diane in 1950.Robert Lamkin married Zella Mae Hoff. Two children were born to this union; Jon Brian of Wellston, Oklahoma and Diane Mae Bujnovsky of Phoenix, Arizona. Robert and Zella currently reside in Wellston, Oklahoma where Inez lived with them for the last four years of her life. Jon has one daughter, Ashley, who has given Inez three great-grandchildren. Shirley and Harry Lamkin have four children: Marsha, James, Denise and William. Inez has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Diane married Orlyn Dickson and they currently reside in Hutchinson, Kansas.On June 24, 1993 Inez married Oliver Wendell Lamkin, Harry's youngest brother. He preceded her in death in 2001.Inez was a member of the Churches of Christ since the 1950's in Kansas, Oklahoma and Arizona. She always considered the church in Pratt, Kansas as her home church family.Before her death at age 95, Inez has possibly outlived all of the rest of the Helsels. She lived a full and rewarding life.A graveside memorial service will take place Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the IOOF Cemetery in Iooka, Kansas.
