NELSON C. KYMES
1917 - 1998


Former Stroud resident Nelson C. Kymes, 81, died Friday in Tulsa.
He was born on March 15, 1917, in Ada to Arthur C. and Maggie L. Reich Kymes.
He married Dorothy Wilson in Okemah on July 10, 1953.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked in natural gas operations until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one brother and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of the home, two sons, Nelson Kymes of Catoosa and Kenneth Nelson of Ada, daughter, Patty Wilson of Odessa, Texas, seven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Stroud Cemetery with Charles Kymes officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Stroud.
