KATE IRENE KLUCK
1917 - 2010
Kate Irene Harkleroad Kluck, age 93 of Cushing, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Stroud Health Care Center.She was born on June 22, 1917 in Union, Arkansas to the late Charles and Annabell Harkleroad.She was raised in Union, Arkansas graduating from Salem High School. Her family moved to Oklahoma in the late 1930’s.Kate was joined in marriage to Herman Kluck on August 30, 1947 in Cushing, Oklahoma. To this union two daughters were born, Hermina and Aneta.They made their home in Cushing, where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.They owned and operated a dairy farm south of Cushing for many years.Kate enjoyed cooking, canning and crocheting. She always had time to help friends and neighbors. Her greatest joy was her family.She is survived by her daughter, Aneta Roe and husband, Charles of Cushing; son-in-law Herb Chastain of Cushing; sister, Inez Bridges of Pueblo, Colorado; grandchildren Anesa Jones; Scott Chastain; Charissa Gunter and husband, Aaron and Bobby Roe; great grandchildren, Shannise and Shane Jones; and Cade Roe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Kluck; her daughter, Hermina Chastian and brothers Ray, Woody, Bill, Ben and Jim Harkleroad.Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Vance Crow will officiate.Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery, Avery, Oklahoma. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
