Joseph Robert King was born on January 15, 1946, in Winchester, Tennessee, and departed this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 69.Joseph, the son of Ferdinand Peter and Ethel Denson King, was a resident of Prague.He graduated from Franklin County High School in 1964 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from OU in 1976.He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam war.He married Genevieve Stella Hladik on June 10, 1973, in Elk City.He worked as an electrical engineer for TRW for over ten years and then retired from Tinker Air Force Base.He was a member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Society of Professional Engineers.Joseph’s parents and son, Joseph Todd King, preceded him in death.Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Genevieve King of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Silvia King of Edmond, granddaughter, Anna King of Edmond, brother, Ferdinand Peter “Freddie” King, III and his wife, Janice, of Winchester, Tennessee, sisters, Mary Frances Blair and her husband, Wes, of Winchester, Tennessee and Barbara Hinckley and her husband, Larry of Columbus, Ohio as well as other family and friends.A wake service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague.A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with Father Long Phan officiating.Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Prague.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
