BETTY JO KING
1944 - 2015
Betty Jo Shamblin King, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on September 9, 1944, in Charleston, West Virginia, and departed this life on October 24, 2015, at her home in Chandler, at the age of 71 years.Betty was the daughter of Orville and Dorothy Brown Shamblin.She married Thomas King on November 20, 1982, in Dunbar, West Virginia.Betty worked in customer service as a cashier for many businesses around Chandler.Her parents, husband, three sisters, Joan Robinson, Cheryl Coleman and Robin K. Shamblin, two brothers, Gary and Ricki Wells and special step- mom, Ada Shamblin preceded Betty in death.Survivors include two daughters, Tamra Marshall of Rockville, Maryland and Michelle Lippert of Cabot, Arkansas, four grandchildren, two brothers, Paul "Duffy" Wells of Leon, West Virginia and John Tippman of Vacaville, California, one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Carl Herndon of Chandler, niece, Rachelle South of Chandler as well as other relatives and many friends.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., October 27, 2015, at the First Christian Church in Chandler, with Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
