Funeral services for Irvin Albert Kalka, 67, Chandler, were Sunday in the Curry Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. G. H. Crittendon of Wagoner, assisted by Rev. Bill Shepherd, pastor of the Davenport First Baptist Church.
Interment was in New Zion Cemetery, with Curry Funeral Home directing arrangements.Kalka died Friday, November 2, in a car-train collision near his home southeast of Chandler.He was born November 18, 1905 in Chandler, the son of Albert O. and Mable Rowley Kalka.On June 10, 1928, he was married to Rubye Malicoat at Davenport.A farmer and rancher, Kalka had lived in the Chandler area all his life.Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Bob of Chandler; LeRoy of Cushing; and Larry Don of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Billye Phipps, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Anita Stroud of Warner.Also surviving are one brother, Joe Kalka of Chandler; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Leake, Mrs. Ruth Clarkson, Mrs. Viola Ingram and Mrs. Opal Temple, all of Chandler and twelve grandchildren.
