Belva Effie Adkisson Jones "Mema" was born in Byars, Oklahoma on April 27, 1921 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the age of 93 years.Belva was the daughter of Elbert and Lottie Rozell Adkisson.She was a resident of Stroud most of her life. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Stroud and worked as a cook.Belva married Ralph Leonard Jones in Kiowa county on November 15, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Pat Miller, two grandchildren, Terry and Charlie Miller and one sister, Velma Ratliff.Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Ralph and Sandra Jones of Stroud, one daughter and son in law, Barbara and Ivan Quandel of Sand Springs, one brother, Abb Adkisson of Shaver Lake, California, one sister, Daphene Tyler of Corn, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren, Steve and Kim Gilbert and Coco, Chad Jones, Mark Jones, Amber Quandel, Jill Stanfill, Sharon Simpson, Sissy Harting, Tammy Holladay and Tommy Miller, seventeen great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many extended family.Funeral service will be held at the First Christian Church in Stroud on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Ragle officiating.Burial will be in the Stroud cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
