Hazel Lee Smith Johnson, Prague, died Sunday in Prague. She was 87.Mrs. Johnson was born May 22, 1912, in Lincoln county to Hubert and Myrtle Duggan Smith.She married Joe Johnson on July 3, 1929, in Okemah. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1995.She was a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prague.She also was preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Harold VanZant of Prague, a brother, Cecil Smith of Ardmore, three sisters, Jewell Schima of Shawnee, Dorotha Heinzig of Prague and Leora Daniel of Modesto, California, three grandchildren, Randy VanZant of Arkansas, Robin Marsh of Prague and Kae and Sammy McGinnis of Shawnee, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous friends.Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Prague with the Rev. Jim Powell officiating.Burial will be in Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.Published May 23, 2000.
