HAZEL FRANCES JESTER
1912 - 1998
Longtime Stroud resident Hazel Frances Smith Jester died Sunday in Oklahoma City at the age of 86.
She was born in Cabool, Missouri, on March 22, 1912, the daughter of Charley E. and Lula L. McCall Smith.
She lived in Stroud most of her life and was a member of the Stroud Church of the Nazarene.
She married James Homer Jester in Wichita, Kansas, on June 19, 1935, and he preceded her in death in 1985.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Jack A. Thompson of Sapulpa and James A. Jester of Longview, Texas; two daughters, Ann Smith of Stroud and Nelene Smith of Davenport; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Avery Cemetery with the Rev. Marion Smith and the Rev. Jack Smith officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud.
