THOMAS CLARENCE JAMES
1893 - 1966
Services for Thomas Clarence James were held at 2:30 p.m., August 6, at the Assembly of God church with Rev. Claude Sherrod officiating. Mr. James died August 4 in Stroud General Hospital.Mr. James, a native of Missouri, retired and moved to Stroud in 1960.Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances of the home, three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Lowe of Dallas, Mrs. Alma Clevenger of Marietta and Mrs. Victoria Clevenger of Liberty, Missouri, one son, Lee R. James of Dallas, twenty grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Bob James of Stroud, four sisters, Mrs. Josie Lawson, Mrs. Thelma Vaughn, Mrs. Susie Brumley, all of Sapulpa and Mrs. Iva Upthgraft of Tulsa.Burial was in Stroud Cemetery under direction of McVey Funeral Home.Published August 11, 1966.
