LENA MARIE JAMES
1924 - 2015


Lena Marie Wallis James, long-time Sparks, Oklahoma, resident was born April 29, 1924, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life December 12, 2015, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years.
Marie was the daughter of Luther and Elizabeth Nolan Wallis.
She married Elmer Lee James on January 3, 1942, near Davenport, Oklahoma. Marie worked with her husband on the farm for many years.
Her parents, husband of fifty six years, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter preceded Marie in death.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Marlene James of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Larry James of Cassville, Missouri and Jesse and Diana James of Stroud, Oklahoma; two daughters and son-in-law, Carol and Mark Melson of Chandler and Patsy Quinn of Sparks; two sisters, Dorothy Farmer of Arizona and Nora of Oregon; thirteen grandchildren, thirty five great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Rev. James Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at Prague Cemetery, Prague, Oklahoma.
Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
