DONNA NELL JAMES
1936 - 2011
Donna Nell Parsons James was born on February 15, 1936, in Chandler and departed this life Tuesday, June 21, 2011, in Oklahoma at the age of 75 years.
Donna, the daughter of Roy L. and Hazel Frances Quast Parsons, was a long-time resident of Chandler.
She graduated from Chandler High School in the class of 1954.
Donna married Robert “Bob” James on March 21, 1953, in Chandler.
She owned and operated the Chandler Tag Agency for many years and was a Charter Member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church.
Her parents, husband, one brother and one son-in-law preceded Donna in death.
Survivors include one son, Rick James of Chandler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Steve Sisco of Carney; Judy and Glen Ledgerwood of Chandler; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Carol Parsons of Enid; one sister, Ruth Cox of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Chandler Southern Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Henley and Rev. Mike Mitchell will officiate.
Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
