1923 - 2011
Mae Lucille Bruce Isenberg, age 87 of Cushing, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Collinsville, Oklahoma.Lucy was born on November 10, 1923 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to the late Samuel Dawson and Mary Elmora Simmons Bruce.She was one of ten brothers and sisters who were raised in various places in Oklahoma and Arkansas.Lucy married the love of her life Walter Isenberg on July 28, 1947.Walter, Lucy and the children spent most of their years in Hominy and later settled in Cushing.Lucy worked in the cafeteria at Harmony Elementary around ten years. She moved to Collinsville in 2005 to be near her family.She was a good sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.Lucy is survived by her two brothers James Bruce and wife Ida of Wagoner; Dewey Bruce and wife Clarice of Oklahoma City; her children, Freddie Saladin of Elk City; Sue Ray and husband Ocie of Collinsville; Jim Hargrave and wife Marilyn of Madison, Alabama; and ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Isenberg; brothers, Ernest, Hershel, Raymond and Vernon Bruce and sisters, Elmora, Della and Lossie.Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Rev. Ralph Hickman will officiate.Interment will follow at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
