DONALD STEVENSON HUTCHISON
1937 - 2015
Donald Stevenson Hutchison was born August 6, 1937 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Fred Hutchison and Verna Mae Hundley.He received most of his education in Claremore, Oklahoma. He joined the United States Navy in 1954 where he was a swimming instructor. He was also a long time member of the American Legion.Don married his childhood sweetheart Judy Chance September 30, 1962. He was a loving husband to Judy and always made sure she had what she needed. If he couldn't buy it he built it.Don was a welder by trade and owned his own business for over 30 yrs. He was an inventor and received a patent in 1985 for improving quality of rock in quarries. He believed in "hands on."He loved to fish and be outdoors and especially loved being with his three grand boys. He always told them, "Never start a job without finishing it."Don is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; vhildren Tony and Sherri Hutchison; Kerri and Brian Wattenburger; and Steve Hutchison; grandsons, Heath, J.I. and & Kyle Hutchison; one brother Jim Hutchison; two sisters, Ethel Keeling and Doris McKinney; also several nieces and nephews and many friends.Don is proceeded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bill, Benny, Freddie and Lynn; and one sister, Nelda Smith.Burial at Harrell Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma.Arrangements are entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
