1936 - 2015
Ronnie "Sonny" Huff was born on June 25, 1936, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, August 15, 2015, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 79.Sonny, the son of George and Blanche Litle Huff, was a resident of Sparks.He married Phyllis Shaffner on August 26, 1956 at Deer Creek Baptist Church, where he maintained a church membership for the rest of his life.Sonny graduated from Davenport High School with the class of 1954. After graduation he proudly served in the US Army. Sonny then went to work at Tinker Air Force Base where retired as a supervisor of engine maintenance scheduling.He was a avid fan of rodeo, PBR and loved watching wrestling.Retirement gave Sonny plenty of time to work, he loved doing carpentry work and he was a farmer and rancher.Sonny's parents, two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Huff of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Rowdy Huff of Sparks and Mike and Christi Huff of Oklahoma City, daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Donald Stover of Konawa, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Doris Huff of Prague and Lawrence and Denise Huff of Cushing, sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Edward Porter of Mangum, many other family and friends.The Huff family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud with Reverend Mike Haines officiating.Interment will follow at Kellerby Cemetery.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
