MARY MARGARET HOWARD
1919 - 1998
Mary "Margaret" Simon Howard died Friday in Cushing. She was 78.
Mary was born on December 15, 1919, near Sparks to Charles Cleveland and Dollie Henbray Simon.
She married Woodrow Wilson "W. D." Howard on January 12, 1939, in Chandler.
Mrs. Howard had lived in Lincoln County most of her life and was a member of the Parkland Church of the Firstborn.
She worked at Oklahoma State University and the Chandler Baseball Camp.
Survivors include two sons, Eldon and Eugene Howard, both of Parkland; three daughters, Phyllis Hutchinson, Cushing; Colleen Dotson, Stroud; and Marilyn Kerntke, Stillwater; brother, Charles "Cowboy" Simon, Jones; eighteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1969; one son and three sisters.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Parkland Church of the Firstborn, Parkland, with Bill Herring officiating.
Burial will follow in Parkland Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.
