Bonnie Lee Greenfield Hood, a longtime Cushing resident passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at her home in Cushing at the age of 74.She was born on February 19, 1939 in Shamrock, Oklahoma to the late Robert and Leta Stevens Greenfield.Bonnie and her sister Donna were the first twins born in Shamrock, Oklahoma. She grew up and attended school in Shamrock, Olympia, Washington and graduated from Drumright High School in 1957.She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on May 18, 1953.Bonnie married the love of her life, John Thomas “Tommy” Hood on August 16, 1958 in Cushing, Oklahoma and to this union Teresa and Johnise were born. They built a new home in which they resided until their deaths.She loved quilting and sewing and made many outfits for her daughters. Bonnie was also very talented in decorating birthday and wedding cakes, which she gifted to many of her nieces and nephews.Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Teresa Hood of the home; her twin sister, Donna Castor of Vici; brother Lonnie Greenfield and wife Patti of Mannford; brother Gary Greenfield and his wife Linda of Henryetta; and sister Veta Thompson of Cushing; brother-in-law Delen Hood; sister-in-law Stella Hood; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of brethren and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leta Greenfield; husband Tommy Hood; daughter Johnise Hood; mother-in-law Pearl Darling; brother and sister-in-laws Doyle Castor; Doyle and Burdean Combs; R. C. and Nina Hood; and Amil Hood.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Cushing. Brother Randy Castor and Brother Raymond Castor will officiate.Interment will follow at Flynn Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma.Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
