JACK ALTON HICE
1926 - 1998
Jack Alton Hice died Thursday in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was 71.Jack was born September 6, 1926, in Jim Town, Oklahoma, to Ernest Joe and Pearl Lavada Neely Hice.He married Frances Josephine Brangers on February 1, 1982, in Oklahoma City.He was a resident of Okfuskee county near Paden.He served in the U. S. Navy and was a refrigeration mechanic for Fox and Smythe Transportation Company in Oklahoma City.Survivors include a son, Freddie Hernandez of Oklahoma City, two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Charles Johnson and Lila and Jimmy Duke, all of Oklahoma City, three brothers, Bill Hice of Oklahoma City, Willie Hice of California and Danny Hice of Grand Prairie, Texas; three sisters, Grace Wilson of Duncan, Betty Rayborn of Grand Prairie, Texas and Charlene Boyd of Olympia, Washington and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as numerous friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Josephine Brangers Hice on October 13, 1997, his parents and two brothers.Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague, with the Rev. Paul Heard officiating.Published July 4, 1998.
