BOBBY LEE HENLEY
1948 - 2009


Graveside services for Bobby Lee Henley, 60, of Stillwater are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 at Tryon Cemetery with Reverend Stanley Bloom officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
Mr. Henley, lovingly referred to as "Pops" was born on November 7, 1948 in Graham, Oklahoma to Frances and Christine Marrow Henley.
After graduating from high school, Pops went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. He worked as an engineer in several states, including Oklahoma, California and Montana.
He married Rita Kay Bloom on August 5, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders and Oklahoma State University.
Pops loved being a husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed sports, computers and genealogy.
Pops passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in Stillwater. He leaves behind a huge, happy family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frances Henley and one sister, Linda Gail.
Pops is survived by his wife, Rita of Stillwater; his mother, Christine Henley of Tryon; three daughters, Kerrie Peterson and husband, Matt and their two daughters, Katie and Rylie of Ripley, Tracie Rhamy and husband, Martie of Stillwater and Melissa Plake and husband, Robert and their two sons, Logan and Brody of Stillwater; four sons, Bobby Henley of Stillwater, Joey Henley of Stillwater, Michael Melton and his daughter, Jessica of Stillwater, and David Melton of Stillwater; one brother, Wesley Henley and wife, Patsy of Tryon; and numerous other family members and friends.
Casket bearers will be Bobby Henley, Joey Henley, Michael Melton, David Melton, Rudy Redding, and Adam Sisco. Memorial donations may be made in Pops name to the American Cancer Society, care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.
