1914 - 2012
Mildred Nola Christ Hall was born June 27, 1914 to Charles and Maude Smith Christ in Wellston and passed away December 20, 2012 in Oklahoma City at the age of 98.She married Joe Hall January 10, 1953 in Chandler and they lived on the family farm north of Fallis until 1966 when they moved to Wellston.Mildred was a homemaker and a long time member of the Wellston Assembly of God Church.She was an active volunteer for Project Heart in Wellston serving senior citizens including the Wellston Exercise Group. Mildred received a special recognition award from the town of Wellston for her service to the community. She took school children on a walk around town one year explaining points of interest in Wellston.She enjoyed walking as she walked two miles a day for many years.She moved to the Chandler Nursing Center in 2006 where she resided at her time of death.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Maude Christ; husband, Joe Hall; and eleven siblings, Aaron, Esther, Elizabeth, Oscar, Mattie, Paul C., Paul R., Irene, Roxlean, Tom and Ernest.She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Ethel Townsley of Chandler, and Vivian Hendrix of Lawton; and dozens of nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends and loved ones.There will be a visitation for Mildred on Friday and Saturday at Lehman Funeral Home where Friday her family would like to invite her friends to join them between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. for a reception and visitation at the funeral home.Her funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 5, 2013 at the Wellston Assembly of God Church with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
