1936 - 2000
Johnny Eugene Griffith died Friday in Prague. He was 64.He was born August 24, 1936, in Okemah.He was the son of Steely and Pearly Lee Franks Griffith.He was a resident of Prague and was a truck driver for Prague Ready Mix and retired in 1997.Johnny married Beverly Joann Dwyer on November 29, 1957 in Ponca City. She preceded him in death on June 25, 1997.He was also preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Donna S. Miles on February 18, 2000.Survivors include three sons and wives, Steve Griffith, Prague; Mark and Debra Griffith, Prague; Roger and Cheryl Griffith, Prague; son-in-law, Butch Miles, Prague; five daughters, Cindy Cruce, Prague; Janet Griffith, Prague; Carla Thompson, Shawnee; Terry Griffith, Prague Melissa and husband, Michael Lee, Prague; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jannell and Melvin Smith, Redondo Beach, California; Delores Williams, Houston, Texas; and eleven grandchildren.Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.Burial will follow in the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
