RICKEY EUGENE GREENFIELD
1959 - 2016


Rickey Eugene Greenfield, a longtime Cushing resident, passed from this life on Saturday, September 24, 2016 surrounded by family in Oklahoma City at the age of 56.
Rickey was born on December 4, 1959 in Cushing to Lionel Dale and Shirley Ann Anderson Greenfield.
He was raised in the Cushing area, but attended his schooling in Hennessey, Oklahoma. After years of school, Rickey started working in the oil field. He worked hard all throughout his youth, before being involved in a car accident at the age of 17. The accident left him confined to a wheelchair, but that did not crush his spirits. He was fun loving and active. He enjoyed traveling, especially on his motorcycle. He traveled to Sturgis and took part in the Toys for Tots. He went deer hunting in the Northwestern part of the US and fished all across Oklahoma.
Rickey was very active in all the family functions, especially reunions and holidays. His family meant the world to him. He also had many friends throughout Cushing. He favorite spot to catch up with friends was down at Homestead. They treated him like family.
He was a fun, caring, charismatic individual that will be missed by all who knew him.
Rickey is preceded in death by his father, Lionel Dale Greenfield and two brothers, Billy Dale Greenfield and Jimmy Carl Greenfield.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Anderson Greenfield, one sister, Sandra Conforti and husband, Kevin of Tryon, two nieces, Sandra Wooten and husband, Steven of Tryon and Victoria Bridendolf and one nephew, Ricky Dale Chester. Rickey is also survived by three great nieces, five great nephews, and numerous friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
Family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home in Cushing.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Parkland Cemetery with Elder Fred Britton officiating.
