MARY EVELYN GREENFIELD
1935 - 2007


Mary Evelyn Kerntke Greenfield, a longtime Tryon resident, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007 in the Edmond Specialty Hospital, at the age of 72 years.
The daughter of the late John Kerntke and Alice Mae Pierce Kerntke, Mary was born on December 2, 1935 in Agra, Oklahoma.
She was reared and educated in Oklahoma and later moved to California for a brief time.
She was united in marriage to Jerry Dan Greenfield on July 17, 1954.
In her spare time, Mary enjoyed fishing, sewing, and watching birds.
Her family will always remember how she loved this time of year, looking at Christmas lights and watching her family decorate the tree.
Survivors include her children, Marilyn Lively of Tryon; Jerry Lynn Greenfield of Oklahoma City; Terry Leon Greenfield and his wife Angela; Pam Ray of Tryon; and Kevin Lee Greenfield of Tryon; six grandchildren, Merline Lewis, Christopher Ray, Kayla Marie Greenfield, Christopher Lynn Greenfield, Randi Michell Greenfield and Jaclyn Robyn Greenfield; three great-grandchildren, Megan Lewis, Ryan Lewis and Bailey Ray; two brothers, Tommy of Stillwater; and Johnny of Modesto, California; seven sisters, Joann, Carolyn and Treasa all of Stillwater; Lucille of Norman; Patsy of Houston, Texas; Jeannie of Muskogee; and Bernadine of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary’s husband, Jerry; one granddaughter, Stephanie Michelle Lively; and two brothers, Tony and Richard preceded her in death.
Graveside services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Parkland Cemetery.
