LIONEL DALE GREENFIELD
1937 - 2014
Lionel Dale Greenfield, a longtime Tryon resident, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Okmulgee at the age of 77.He was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on April 12, 1937 to Claude Harvey Greenfield and Ira Mae Jackson Greenfield. He was one of twelve children.He married his love Shirley Ann Anderson Greenfield in 1955 and they had four children. Two of which preceded him in death are Billy Dale Greenfield and Jimmy Carl Greenfield. Two surviving are Rickey Eugene Greenfield of Cushing, Oklahoma and Sandra Lorraine Greenfield Chester Conforti whom resides in Okmulgee, Oklahoma with her husband, Kevin Conforti.Lionel has five grandchildren: Sandra Chester Wooten whom resides in Okmulgee, Oklahoma with her husband Steven Wooten and three children; Pamela Tillman whom resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her husband Kevin Tillman and two children; Vickie Mae who resides in Afton, Oklahoma with her three children; Jon Conforti of Cushing, Oklahoma; and Rickey Dale Chester who has three children.Lionel has a total of eleven great grandchildren and a host of family, friends and loved ones.Lionel and Shirley enjoyed 59 years together. They moved to Tryon, Oklahoma in 1979 and made a home there.He attended and was baptized in the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Parkland, Oklahoma.Lionel was very loving and caring. He was the most amazing husband, father and grandfather..and was a wonderful friend to many. He was a man whose family looked up to him, and always went to for advice and was the most wisest man they have ever had the pleasure of knowing.He will forever be missed and very loved.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma. Brother Fred Britton will officiate.Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
